FAQs
Who is the grant for?
This is an internal grant, intended to fund the outreach of St. Timothy’s, rather than outside organizations. That being said, outreach ministries of the parish that work with other organizations, such as YJI or Women at the Well, are welcome to apply.
How much is the grant?
The grant is funded by the interest of our Outreach Endowment. For this inaugural year, we have $2,200 to award. Ministries are encouraged to apply for up to the full amount if they think they can use it. If you don’t believe you would use the full $2,200, you are welcome to apply for a lesser amount.
When and how is the grant awarded?
Applications for the grant will be open October 1-31. The Grant Committee this year is composed of Jeanie Smith, Amy Johnson, Jana Montgomery, and Kyle Carswell. The committee will meet in early November to review the applications and announce the recipient of the grant (or recipients if some request less than the full $2,200) in mid-November.
How do I apply?
The application can be submitted electronically on the St. Timothy’s website starting October 1. However, if you’d like to look over the questions before the application window opens, you can check them out in the PDF version above from last year. We should note that we recognize $2,200 is not a huge grant, and we don’t wish the application to be burdensome. We want it to be as accessible as possible for those who would benefit. If you have any questions about the application or grant process, please reach out to Amy Johnson at johnsonfamilydsm@gmail.com, and members of the grant committee will be happy to work with you.
