Greetings St. Timothy’s Family! During the Easter season we reminisced upon the seeds this community has planted and the joy and love that we have been so blessed to share. As we plant our seeds, we not only have the opportunity to watch them grow…but also to watch them change. Spring is upon us, and the time for change is near providing the opportunity to reflect, share gratitude, sow excitement, and welcome anew. As we prepare for the next step in our transition, we want to share with you that Mary’s retirement and last day at St. Timothy’s will be on Sunday, May 22nd. Please mark this date on your calendar and join us for the 10:15 a.m. service followed by a Celebration of Ministry in the parish hall! It will be a joyous event full of love and gratitude as we celebrate both Mary and Milton and wish them well on their next adventure! We would also like to take this moment to reflect on the seeds that Mary has sown here at St. Timothy’s and beyond. During the month of May, we would like to express our gratitude and ask that you consider contributing a gift in honor of The Rev. Canon Mary Cole-Duvall. Your gifts will be given as donations to: + The Campus Beautification Fund – for patio improvements at St. Timothy’s, and+ Archbishop Samuel Peni, Archdiocese of Western Equatoria, South Sudan (includes the Diocese of Nzara) – to provide food and support for the St. Timothy’s School in Nzara and to provide soap and salt for the clergy. Donations may be given throughout May as our 2nd Sunday Offering or our website (https://sttimothysiowa.org/giving/), or may be sent via the enclosed envelope. You are welcome to designate which fund you would like to contribute to or your gift can be split. Thank you for your continued support and prayers as we enter this season of change. Together, let’s continue to share our joy and excitement as we prepare for a new welcoming soon. Blessings and love to you all! Suzy Coen, Senior Warden |
