At St. Timothy’s, we encourage families with children to participate in worship in the way that works best for your family. Squirmy kids and squealing babies are part of the beauty of God’s family, and are always welcome in worship.
To facilitate children’s attendance and participation in worship, we provide worship bags, which include activities based on the day’s Bible readings. Bags are located at the entrance to the sanctuary.
The Nursery is open for children up to 4 years old each Sunday morning beginning at 8:45 during the academic year and 9:45 in the summer. The nursery is located on the lower level by the doors to the north parking lot.
After the opening hymn and prayer on Sundays, children from 4 years old through 4th grade are invited to our Children Living the Word program for a fun, kid-focused lesson. Children return to the sanctuary to be with their families before communion.
Children and youth from 4th grade on up are welcome to participate in our worship services as Acolytes, carrying the cross or torches in procession, or as Youth Readers, reading our New Testament scripture lesson.
