It takes a lot of hands to make our worship services happen.

If you are interested in serving in worship in one of the following roles, please contact Kyle at rector@sttimothysiowa.org.

Acolytes assist by lighting the candles and carrying the cross and torches in procession. Acolytes are typically youth in 4th grade or higher.

Altar Guild prepares the altar for worship and helps clean up after the service.

Chalice Bearers administer the wine at communion.

Lectors read the scripture passages of the day during the service.

Litanists lead the congregation in the Prayers of the People.

Oblationers bring the bread and wine forward to the altar for communion.

Stream Team manages the sound system and the livestream of our worship services.

Ushers greet worshippers, hand out bulletins, and pass the offering plates.

Flower Guild arranges seasonal decoration of the sanctuary in the fall and at Christmas and Easter.

Music Ministries Our choir leads the congregation in singing during worship from September through May and performs anthems and other choral pieces at special times of the year. Parishioners who play musical instruments also adorn our services with beautiful music on occasion. If you have a talent with choral or instrumental music, let us know!
